From James Bond-style helipads on the bow, to ocean-facing penthouse suites and multiple swimming pools peppering the decks, these futuristic super yachts promise to take luxury sailing up a few knots.
Images of never-before-seen boat concepts, published in Futureyachts, also show how the greater emphasis is set to be placed on energy saving in the nautical world, with hybrid propulsion systems and back-up sails.
One yacht in the pipeline aims at being a luxury boutique hotel for well-heeled travellers. The Y-Club, masterminded by German naval architect Frank Neubelt, is set to be managed by a five-star hotelier, with enough room to carry 36 guests, pampered by 50 crew members.
Another standout vessel is the Adventure 4008, designed by Netherlands-based shipyard Damen. It's pitched as the perfect vessel for outdoor thrill-seekers, with the aft deck carrying all the necessary water toys, including submarines and kayaks. It can also serve as a helipad for incoming copters.
Equally impressive is Project Norse, a sail-assisted exploration vessel with a robust body making it capable of voyaging to both poles through ice and treacherous waters.
Scroll down and sail into the future with this gallery of super yachts, set to hit the water sometime soon....
