Wi-Fi Nightlight That Can Notify You Of Emails Retweets And More Makes Headway On Kickstarter
The “Aumi Mini” plugs into any USB socket, but
it’s designed for mate perfectly with an iPhone USB charging adapter. Once
connected to wifi the little device uses changes in color and light patterns to
notify of the online happenings of your choice. It can, for instance, blink
whenever one of your tweets is retweeted, or flash a red warning to inform you
that the wifi in your house has gone down. It can also be linked to smart home
systems like thermostats and wireless security systems.
Its creators have already successfully shipped
the first generation “Aumi” which was larger and used bluetooth. Drawing some
confidence from this prior success, and obviously excited about the product,
Kickstarter users have already backed it to the tune of €32,600, well beyond
the goal of €20,200. The little device costs €21.
